3 Double 4 Single 12 persons MONDAY changeover

Down a private, flowering hedgerow-lined track, passed lush, rolling fields and further away by the minute from the mayhem of modern metropolis is the tranquil Redwood Valley site.  Named after the ancient redwood trees that carpet the valley on which this site is burrowed, Redwood Valley is a gentle, feel-good group glamping site suitable for families.  Children will love the medley of wildlife available – owners Rachel and Phil will let them pet the horses or feed the chickens and ducks.  They can even eat freshly laid, freely supplied eggs for breakfast.  There are adventures aplenty for the young and not-so-young, as Phil offers adventure activities to guests, ranging from bushcraft to canoeing.
And with 3 different structures on offer accommodating up to 12 guests, this is a perfect place for outdoor experiences with friends and family.
Choose from a modern 4-person yurt, a comfortable, spacious 6-person safari tent, or a snug 2-person land pod, suitable for snuggling and snoozing, but not standing!  Redwood Valley offers a little something for everyone – including dogs and horses - making it the perfect group glamping site in beautiful North Pembrokeshire.

Interior & Facilities

Redwood Yurt:  The insulated yurt comes with a double bed, two single futons, storage areas, soft furnishings and a beautiful wood-burning stove.  The kitchen area is tucked away under its own covering behind the yurt, complete with gas cooker and cooking utensils and crockery.

Redwood Safari: This 6-person canvas chalet has a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, as well as a double sofa bed in the lounge area near to the wood-burning stove.  The safari tent’s kitchenette is inside, with a gas cooker, utensils and crockery.  There is a covered dining area which overlooks the valley for meals with a view.

Redwood Pod: The site’s pod, created by Staffordshire-based family craftsmen Landpod, is an off-ground camping pod that is suitable for sleeping and drinking tea only.  We’re serious – at merely a meter high, it’s best that any dancing is done in the outdoor dining and seating area outside, allocated especially for the pod.  This clever, snug little pod has an LED motion sensor light, powered by a solar power pack.

Bathrooms: Owners Rachel and Phil are horse fans, as you’ll see from the livery stables on-site, so it’s not much of a surprise to find a cleverly converted horse box housing a sparkling eco-bathroom, complete with gas-heated hot shower and compost toilet.

Exteriors:  All of the structures on-site come with a fire pit and seating area, leaving you with only one problem – which beautiful view of the valley will you chill out looking at?

Situation & Location

Redwood Valley is located in the heartland of North Pembrokeshire.  This area is rolling and sprawling, reaching towards the mystical Preseli Hills 5 miles to the south.  The glamping site is next to the owner’s farm, where they keep their own livestock – they’ll even house your horse for the duration of your stay in their own on-site stables.  An offer of a cosy night stay for you and your equine friend – how can you refuse?
Although the site itself is fairly remote, it’s only 3 miles to the nearest rural pub, and a few miles walk away is one of Pembrokshire’s hidden gems – a fantastic woodland waterfall spot, perfect for a picnic and a go on the rope swing – will you fall in?
This site is also ideally located for a hike along Pembrokeshire’s main draw, the coastal National Park.  Stretching from St Dogmaels, around 10 miles north of Redwood Valley, and down coast for 186 miles, this is Britain’s only coastal National Park, and draws thousands of walkers every year.  Plenty here to distract you from the slog – including a lack of wifi, giving you a complete break from the digital waves, and a chance to catch some real ones along this coastal idyll.

Things to do

Amongst the many things to see and do on-site, owner Phil is the man to see about activities – if you fancy learning archery, want to canoe down some rapids or learn to  get back to rural survival roots with a bit of bushcraft, these are all things that qualified outdoor instructor Phil can offer, to give you a group break with a difference.

Please note that there are also two camping sites available for guests on this site – let us know at time of booking if you want these, and we’ll let the owners know on your behalf.

Please note that the yurt and safari tent can also be booked separately.  Please see listings for Redwood Yurt, which sleeps 4, & Redwood Safari, which sleeps 6.
