Lottie The Lorry, Wales.
Grass-root glamping in Pembrokeshire - but don't let the pastoral setting fool you. Lottie is a well travelled lady having had many adventures driving across Europe as far as Budapest, and twice to Morocco. She's collected a few bits and bobs along the way, making her the eclectic, upcycled glamping wagon she is today.
Lottie's interior is cosily clad with natural timber and an assortment of recycled cupboards and textiles, have a mooch and browse through the travel journals and cook books for inspiration. A log burner keeps the chills at bay during cooler months (along with well insulated walls), and another feature guests love is the bed - situated over the driving cab you need to hop up via the stool and chest of drawers!
Where possible we've kept in tune with the ethos of Lottie by pulling together recycled materials and made a small deck area with table and chairs. It's a peaceful space out on the field where ravens cronk as they fly over. You might even fancy making your own traditional Moroccan tagine which comes from the northern Rif mountain range - cooking in this one-pot wonder is simple! Prepare your meat or vegetables, throw into the tagine pot with a little stock and slowly heat over the metallic mat, cook till potatoes soften then turn off and the food will continue to cook from the heat in the clay pot. Enjoy with a flatbread or cousous, preferably out on the deck to a beautiful Pembrokeshire sunset!
Lottie is adjacent to a small hamlet of holiday cottages at the end of a private lane, sitting at the edge of a tree lined field. If you feel the need for some cosy, back to basics glamping - with a hint of travel and Moroccan adventure, Lottie could well be the girl for you!
Lottie is about a 10 minute drive from the UK's smallest City of St Davids with its impressive Cathedral, you'll find cafe's, galleries, pubs, a couple of restaurants, a Deli and small supermarket selling local produce. Another 5 minutes gets you to Whitesands beach - good for surfing and watersports. Newgale is 10 mintes and the Preselis aren't much further where you can enjoy breathtaking walks and scenery, as well as visit the famous Pentre Ifan burial chamber.
