Gorgeous New Forest Glamping with a little Bed & Breakfast ‘TLC’ thrown in. This impeccable Shepherd’s Hut sits within the owner's beautiful garden, where summer flowers are grown for arrangements. Within walking distance is a thatched pub and a farm shop selling picnic treats and local produce as well as offering bicycle hire if you want to make the most of this glorious countryside. All perfectly perched at the edge of the New Forest.
Dolly is a quality hand-crafted Hut and equally lovingly furnished, making this a truly quality glamping break in the New Forest. Martine's hospitality cannot go without a mention either - prepare to be spoiled a little - each morning a
locally sourced, full English or freshly baked Continental breakfast
is served in her conservatory.
Guests say that the superb breakfasts keep them going all day - well
worth a stroll across the lawn.
Interior: The hut's fresh decor with vintage radio, wicker chairs and a mini Welsh Dresser create a Doll’s-house charm, rather like an extremely well appointed Wendy House! However,
practicalities have not been sacrificed for looks. A king-size bed, quality mattress and fresh linens assure a comfortable
night’s sleep, and an immaculate integral en-suite means no grass-hopping to use the shower or loo! As expected, fluffy towels and complimentary
toiletries are also provided.
There is a kettle and provisions for tea and coffee making, and a cool box in the dresser for milk, also handy for chilling wine. The Hut also has Wifi.
For special surprises and occasions, Champagne, flowers, chocolates, bouquets, floral
arrangements, balloons and messages can be arranged directly with Martine. Depending on the season, eggs from the corn fed hens (you'll have already
sampled them if you had the cooked breakfasts) and fresh cut flowers can be bought
to take home.
Hampshire: Ringwood has a Wednesday market and a wonderful range of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. Fordingbridge is also 3 miles away with the famous and recently refurbished George Inn right on the river – the food is well recommended.Further afield are Bournemouth (with evening candle-lit gardens), Southbourne, Mudeford with beaches, and Poole, Christchurch and Salisbury.
The New Forest is right on the doorstep, with fantastic cycling, walks and picnic
spots. 'New Forest Water Park' has paddle-boarding and
kayaking or just enjoy the view from its lakeside Club House over a drink and lunch. The New Forest Wildlife Park at Ashurst has deer, otters and a magical butterfly
enclosure! Burly is a quaint little town with tearooms and quirky gift shops, pubs, a
cider farm and if you want to step back in time there are pony and
