Aurora Yurt, Pembrokeshire.
Pembrokeshire Coast National Park draws thousands of walkers to its rugged shores every year, and we’ve found the perfect retreat for tired feet at one of its most beautiful spots. Aurora Yurt sleeps a family of 4, and is just one of the splendid structures on offer at Star Court, a glamping site perched on a peninsula near Pembroke. This handmade yurt is perfectly positioned for coastal adventures, being around 3 miles away from world-famous Barafundle Bay beach – the closest to a Caribbean coastline as you’ll find in the UK. Spend the day being amazed by the wonders of this wedge of West Wales, with a warm bed and welcoming abode waiting for you in the form of Aurora Yurt. With a wood-burning stove for warmth during wintry weather, fantastic facilities on-site, and a soothing expanse to house you and your family during your seaside staycation, Aurora Yurt is the perfect self-catering haven in prime Pembrokeshire glamping territory.
Interior & Facilities
sleeps a family of four comfortably on one beautiful wooden double bed and two
single futon beds. A wood-burning stove
keeps the chill away on cooler evenings and provides a sepia glow over your
bucolic holiday setting. This spacious
traditional Mongolian yurt, build by talented site owner Stan and decorated
creatively by owner Laura, is spacious as well as comfortable. As well as the comfortable sleeping areas,
Aurora houses a dining table and chairs…although, with the natural beauty
outside the yurt, we think you’ll want to take your tea outside. After all, al fresco dining in the sea air is
one of the main perks of this beautiful glamping spot. Use the well thought out range of cooking
utensils, crockery and cutlery to cook up an open-air feast on the outdoor fire
and grill, or toast marshmallows with the kids over the fire pit before sinking
into the outdoor seating with a bubbly beverage or a large hot chocolate.
Aurora Yurt sits alongside sister yurt Luna in the beautiful Stackpole glamping site of Star Court. This charming site has fantastic facilities, including four bespoke wooden bathroom pods, each with a hot shower and flushing toilet, as well as a composting loo, and a wash room with sink, washing machine, chest freezer and tumble dryer.
Situation & Location
Aurora yurt sits in Star Court, a group glamping site available to book through Quality Unearthed, as well as Luna Yurt and Moon Pod, which can be found on our website. This attractive spot is well known by hikers and is a dramatic backdrop for those who like to walk Pembrokeshire’s 186 mile coastal path. Not only does this part of Pembrokeshire allow you to take in award-winning Barafundle Bay and Bosherston Lily Ponds, but you’re only roughly 8 miles away from Freshwater West, a large surfing beach most popular recently as the location for Dobby’s Shell House in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
