The hive of natural beauty in Dorset, much of which can be found near our UK cabin holidays in the area, is something that is unrivalled, and a new exhibition that will pay homage to its greatness will offer the chance for more people to enjoy it, thanks to the local residents who have compiled the exhibit.
The My Wild Life art exhibition, which is set to be unveiled by Dorset Wildlife Trust (DWT) will open its doors from Saturday, 5th November right through until Sunday, 20th November, 10am – 4pm, 7 days a week, which can found at the Fine Foundation Chesil Beach Centre.
For those who have been looking forward to the exhibition and those who are just discovering it, it will feature the work of no fewer than nine local artists who will showcase various forms of art from watercolour, to pottery, photography, silk paintings and wool sculpture.
Each of the nine artists who will be exhibiting their work at the Chesil Beach Centre art exhibition have an accompanying story to pair with Dorset’s wildlife and landscapes and how it has stimulated and influenced their work.
Vicky Ashby, DWT’s Chesil Beach Centre Assistant and exhibition organiser, said: “Following the success of the Dorset Art Weeks exhibition this year, we are very pleased to be able to showcase more local artists and their fantastic work, including cards and prints. The location of the centre is an ideal backdrop, over-looking Chesil Beach so you can also enjoy wildlife spectacles such as hundreds of brent geese on the Fleet Lagoon. There’s some fantastic walks on the beach, the Taste* café has some delicious snacks, and you can browse our wildlife gift shop.”
