With thermometers expected to reach 26C, meaning this Easter will beat previous records set in 1984, and then 2011. This will mean that this April may well be the hottest since the records began in 1910.
A jet stream dragging warm air across the Pacific Ocean is to thank for these potential record-high temperatures, which will make a pleasant change from the recent colder weather the UK has been experiencing.
To add to this already good news, the Met Office’s three-month outlook has predicted very strongly that there will be above-average temperatures right through until the end of May.
Bookmakers have even jumped on the bandwagon, and have significantly reduced the odds of this Easter being the warmest on record.
