There’s a whole bunch of people out there who will have put together a bucket list of their own at some point, whether later in life or at a relatively young age. This list ties together the ultimate activities that a person wants to achieve in their lifetime, and can be made up of whatever the owner of the bucket list wishes; it’s personal and there are no boundaries.

The start of a bucket list, sure to include Glamping with Quality Unearthed

If you have, or want to compile, a bucket list, have you ever considered how much the total cost of your activities would cost? We can give you some insight. While this may not be the same as your own personal bucket list, research conducted by over 50s insurance and travel specialist Staysure revealed the things that over 50s want to experience in their lifetime. Here’s the low down for you:

Taking the top spot in the list is what we’re sure most people would love to experience, and was the case for over half of those surveyed. Seeing more of the world is of course number one.

Almost 80% involved in the survey said they are confident they will tick everything off their bucket lists. But as we all know, most things in life come at a price, so Staysure took the time to crunch a few numbers. Basing their calculations on an average top 10, a forecasted cost equates to £16,285. This comes in a little way off the estimation the that those involved in the survey thought the average list would cost (£8,191).

This updated bucket list reflects our modern times.

Experiences such as glamping and attending a music festival were also a regular addition in the over 50s leftfield lists that are breaking stereotypes left, right, and centre!

There are some great examples in the list, but we don’t want to spoil it for you as we’ve included the list at the bottom of the page so you can compare. We love some of ideas that make the list. Some are quirkier than others and others we can all relate to.
