If you are planning a family break to one of our family glamping Wales abodes this October Half Term, then it’s a good idea to have some idea of what’s on in the area just in case you fancy filling your days with exciting activities!
The Gower Heritage Centre is a place packed with the Halloween spirit – pardon the pun – and therefore have dedicated the entire Half Term week to the annual event!
The event opens its doors to the public from 10am and the festivities last until 5:30pm, every day. You can look forward to a day full of spooky activities, including joining Magenta the witch at school for spooks!
The school of spooks will be hosting the annual broomstick race, spooky pottery, pumpkin carving & craft activities, as well as colouring competitions, quizzes and plenty more.
If the daytime event wasn’t enough for you and you’re truly in the mood for even more Halloween, then why not spend Halloween in one of the most haunted spots in Gower… in the evening? For three nights –Sunday 29th October, Monday 30th October & Tuesday 31st October – Gower Heritage Centre plays host to a spooky disco, dancing competitions, fancy dress competitions, scary storytelling in their very own haunted mill cottage.
There’s also Halloween crafts, pumpkin carving, a spook school, and a swamp dip, not to mention bat hunts, ghost hunts and lots more to keep you entertained!
If the little ones with you have sitters for the evening, then the grownups can head on down to “Oktoberfest” as it returns to Brangwyn Hall, Swansea, on 21st October, following last year’s sell-out. Jam-packed with fine real German ales from across the breadth of Germany paired with sounds of time-honoured music with traditional drinking songs and dances you can be sure that a good time will be had by all!
There’s also plenty of sizzling foods make it an evening to remember before you head back to your glamping abode.
Tickets cost £12 in advance and £15 on the door. Call for more information and to book your tickets on 02380 768277.
