As we head into March, the flowers are beginning to blossom, the baby lambs are being born and we are starting to see some glimpses of better weather across the U.K. There is simply no better time to enjoy the spring than in Easter, when the children are off school on their Easter break, the weather is drier and spring is in full-swing!

Easter egg hunt, Eastnor Castle, Herefordshire
14th April to 17th April
At the foot of the Malvern Hills, just on the border of the Cotswolds, lies Eastnor Castle. This award-winning visitor attraction attracts thousands of visitors each year to its doors, so they can marvel at the grand architecture, the magical deer park, arboretum and lake, in the surrounding landscapes. It’s no wonder that this magnificent castle is the setting to many weddings, corporate team building events, private party bashes and location filming. The castle is also the setting for another exciting event, the Easter egg hunt around the castle and grounds. Commencing on Friday 14th April you and your kids can join in this renowned Easter tradition and make your way around the Eastnor Castle estate on the hunt for chocolate eggs. RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Bute Park, Cardiff Castle, Wales
7th to 9th April
Embrace spring with a visit to the prestigious RHS Chelsea Flower show this year, by admiring the masterpiece show gardens. With planting activities, wheelbarrow competitions, arts and crafts, fossil hunting and so much more, there is plenty to keep the family entertained for hours.
Spring Steam Gala, Swanage Railway, Dorset
31st March to 2nd April
In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the final operation of steam hauled trains across the more southern region of Britain, Swanage Railway will be allowing you the chance to attend a series of themed events during the Easter break, named “Strictly Bulleid”. The steam train banaza commences at the end of March and continues until the 2nd of April, giving you plenty opportunity to join in the fun on your holiday to Dorset. The event will include a number of Bulleid locomotives demonstrating their steam power along the Swanage railway line. Be sure to keep an eye on the Visit Dorset tourism website, as more details will be announced closer to the time. This is an event not to be missed, particularly if your children are fond of trains!
Transatlantic Tall Ships Race, Torquay Harbour, Devon
As April brings us better weather, head outside on your holiday to Devon and down to the picturesque harbour at Torquay, close to Exeter. Torquay Harbour brings many visitors, from those looking to admire the great views and scenery to families wanting to enjoy a thrilling boat trip or watersport activity around the harbour. Interestingly, the harbour still remains a fully operational harbour and port. Make your way to one of the ports to get a good view of the visiting ships, including the Christian Radich and the Wylde Swan, as these magnificent ships start their race across the Atlantic. Then head into the town with many cafes and shops to wander around.
