The nation is waiting with baited breath to find out who will be headlining Glastonbury this year – and we can tell you who won’t be!
You read right – we don’t know any more than you who will be headlining the event on Saturday and Sunday, but we do know who won’t be.
Speculation has been rife as to who the headliners will be ever since the Foo Fighters announced they’d be headlining on the Friday night just over a week ago.
Now festival organiser Emily Eavis has revealed a few acts which won’t be appearing at Worthy Farm this summer.
“The remaining headliners are the best kept secret we’ve had for years,” she said, “but I can reveal that it won’t be Coldplay, Adele or AC/DC.”
Emily, the daughter of founder Michael Eavis, is deliberately keeping the headliners under wraps so as not to affect the ticket sales of the headlining bands, since some people may decide not to see them on tour if they know they can see them at the festival.
Emily said she was delighted to be able to do that. “It’s the first year in a long time where people have been mostly wrong with their guesses,” she said. ”I guess that shows we’re doing a good job.”
Whoever the headliners are, the lucky people with tickets to enjoy Somerset Glamping in Glastonbury during the festival in June are sure to have a fantastic time.
