Booking Conditions and General Information - Please read carefully

Quality Unearthed, Cerbid, act as the Letting Agent for the owners of the property. The hiring contract is between the Hirer and the Owner of the property for which the booking is made and incorporates the conditions set out below:

Authority to Sign

The person signing the booking form certifies that he/she is authorised to agree to the Booking Conditions on behalf of all persons included on the Booking Form. The signatory must be a member of the party occupying the property and must be 18 years of age or over. Bookings cannot be accepted from parties of young people under 18 years of age.


Payment

Bookings where appropriate are to be accompanied by a deposit of one-third of the rent. All prices quoted include a £18 booking fee. The balance of the rent must be paid at least 56 days (8 weeks) before the commencement of the holiday. Non-payment of the balance of the rent on or before the due date shall be construed as a cancellation of the contract by the Hirer. The full rent is payable if the occupation date is less than 56 days (8 weeks) from the date of booking.

Credit Cards
Payments made by Credit Card will be subject to a 1.5% handling charge. Debit cards are not subject to this surcharge.

Infants
Infants are children under the age of two years on the date of travel. It is your responsibility to inform us of the number of infants to be included at the time of booking as this could affect the capacity of the property in question.

Hirer's Obligation

The Hirer agrees:
To pay for any breakages, losses or damage to the property before departure. To take all reasonable and proper care of the property and leave it in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the tenancy. Particular attention must be given to the kitchen, ensuring that all equipment and utensils are left clean and tidy. The Hirer is responsible for any additional cleaning costs incurred.
To permit the owners and Agent reasonable access to the property to carry out any urgent maintenance.
Not to sublet or share the property except with persons nominated when booking. The maximum number of persons allowed at the property is clearly stated and must not be exceeded. (Owners reserve the right to terminate the hire without notice and without refund in case of a breach of this condition).

Your personal information

All personal and other information and details collected by Quality Unearthed in the course of our business, belong to us and will not be disclosed to any third party except to the Property Owner (and/or his representatives) in connection with a Booking.

Pets


Where no charge is made for pets it is on the express condition that pet owners are responsible for any extra cleaning that may be required, either in the property or in the grounds.
Pets must not under any circumstances be allowed on any soft furnishings or beds.
Pets must have their own blankets to protect the floor coverings at all times.
Properties cannot accept any more dogs that stated, additional pets cannot be taken.
Pets MUST NOT cause any annoyance, become a nuisance to local wildlife or farm animals, or intimidate occupants of adjoining properties.
Pets must not be left alone in the property.
Do not bathe your pets in the property's bathroom facilities, fees are charged for unblocking drains.
The size of dog is relevant to some properties and must be declared upon booking.
Clear up after your dog, failure to clean up after pets may be heavily surcharged.
Never allow pets to defecate in the grounds where children may play.
Under no circumstances can pets be taken to properties that specifically state they cannot accept pets.

Cancellation
If the Hirer wishes to cancel the booking he should advise Quality Unearthed, Cerbid, immediately by telephone, followed by a confirmatory letter. Upon receipt of such letter the Agent will (but without any obligation to the Hirer) use their best endeavours to obtain a replacement letting and, if such replacement is obtained, will then refund to the Hirer any monies paid less a handling charge. If the Agent is unable to re-let the OWNER shall be entitled to retain all payments already made and to recover, if not already paid, the balance of the hiring charge.

Quality Unearthed strongly recommends that the Hirer purchase their own insurance to cover any costs and financial obligations incurred for all eventualities which may prevent the Hirer from taking their booked holiday rental.


Non-availability of Property

If, for any reason beyond the Agent's control, the property is not available on the date booked, all rent paid in advance will be refunded in full. The Hirer shall have no further claims against the Owner or Agent.

V.A.T.

There is no extra charge for VAT. Where VAT is payable the tax is included in the quoted weekly rent. Should the tax vary, the Agents reserve the right to vary the rental.

Your Safety

Every reasonable effort has been made to indicate possible safety hazards in the property description. However, it is guests' responsibility (particularly parents with young children) to inspect the property and grounds immediately on arrival and note any possible hazards. Check the layout of your holiday property so that in an emergency you can get out quickly and easily. Please read and respect any warning/hazard/restriction notices that the owners have placed in the property.

Glamping and the Countryside

Please remember that glamping is precisely that, glamorous camping, and the locations we provide are not like normal buildings and must be respected as such. Our locations are mostly rural and therefore farming and countryside activities are commonplace and livestock and farming practices can be noisy and smelly at times!
N.B. Dogs must be under control in livestock areas - sheep farmers will not hesitate to deal with a strange dog that is worrying their sheep. And always, Respect the Country Code:

Complaints

Every effort has been made to ensure that you have an enjoyable and memorable holiday. If however, you have any cause for complaint we are anxious that remedial action is taken as soon as possible and as such it is essential that you contact the Owner or his representative immediately if any problem arises so that it can be speedily resolved. Discussion with the Owner or his representative whilst you are in residence usually enables shortcomings to be rectified straight away. If you cannot make contact with the Owner or his representative or if the complaint is more complicated please telephone Quality Unearthed. If after this you feel that the complaint still remains unresolved then notify Quality Unearthed, Cerbid, in writing, within 7 days of returning from your holiday. Please help us to help you by following this procedure which is designed to effect, expedient investigation and rectification of complaints. We cannot subsequently consider any complaints or enter into any correspondence about them unless this procedure has been followed.

General

Quality Unearthed, Cerbid, is a sister company to a long established holiday cottage letting agency (Quality Cottages and Quality Villas)and take great care in the selection of holiday properties but has no direct control over the regular care and maintenance of the property or of the contents, within or outside the property.
Every reasonable effort has been made to ensure that the descriptions/photographs are accurate and all statements by the Agent are made in the honest belief that they are accurate at the time of going to press. However, all distances are approximate and facilities may be altered or withdrawn for reasons outside the Agents control for which we cannot accept responsibility. Occasionally improvements and alterations may be advised to us after the publication of the brochure. We will notify you of any major amendments or other details contained in the brochure at the time of your booking or at the earliest possible opportunity thereafter.
All information in this website is given in good faith but the Agent makes no warranties as to such information (or any part of it) as has been provided by the owner/third parties and which, despite original verification of such information by the Agent, has become incorrect or incomplete.
Quality Unearthed, Cerbid, its employees and agents shall not be under any liability to the Hirers or third parties for any loss or damage arising from breach of contract, negligence, mis-representation or otherwise.

Provisional Reservations, Summer, Winter or Christmas

Many of our properties are automatically reserved each year by our past guests. To help guests reserve the property of their choice, we are very happy to accept provisional reservations for the following year or even several years ahead! Guests are under no obligation and we make no charge for this service.
