Here at Quality Unearthed, it is known that we are incredibly passionate about nature as well as trying our best to be as eco-conscious as possible. As many of our glamping abodes are only a short drive or even walk from the coastline, we believe it is important to ensure that these places of natural beauty are kept in immaculate condition so that it can be enjoyed by locals and visitors alike.
In recent news, it has become apparent that more needs to be done to protect and preserve our coastlines against waste which washes up on shores or is dumped into the sea.
Whether our guests are glamping in Somerset or another coastal county, one thing we always recommended to our guests is taking time to explore the coastline. This is due to the British coastline being one of the region’s most precious assets and can often prove to be a lovely way to spend your time.
Surfers Against Sewage
Surfers Against Sewage has a mission to protect and preserve our oceans and coastline, and that is why we have chosen to support them. Whether it is through donations or time spent campaigning, they say ‘we see strength in numbers’, and this has never been truer.
We don’t want to see our oceans filled with plastic, but instead, we want to see them filled with thriving wildlife. We should all take steps to reduce our carbon footprint and learn about the implications our lifestyles can have on the world around us. We shouldn’t be polluting the ocean and waters; instead, we should be encouraging each other to make small changes.
Improving water quality will not only benefit our environment but will also improve our lives, the lives of animals and plants many of which depend on the health of the ocean. We are all dependant on the ocean in some way or another, and its protection will take time, passion and effort from all of us.
Like many charities trying to make an important change, the work carried out by Surfers Against Sewage is entirely funded through donations, and we hope that our collaboration will help this work to be carried out and help to protect and preserve something we are passionate about.
As we mentioned, there are a few ways you can join in with this movement; for example, you can kindly donate or even take part in a beach clean. Whether you decide to join in with one of the events held by this charity or participate in your own beach clean, you are helping in more ways than you will know! No matter what you do, preserving our oceans and coastline can help towards a better future for us all.
