Retro glamping pods are a quirky idea but one that just makes sense when you see it.
The retro glamping pods based at the Let’s Glamp Retro glamping site near Cardigan Bay in Ceredigion will take you back in time, with an unconventional retro glamping concept, and music-based themes focused on Queen in the ’70s and Madonna in the ’80s, the cabins are the perfect juxtaposition against their rural Ceredigion setting.
Quirky from the outset, the first thing you will notice about the cabins is the amazing curved shape. But it is inside where the magic and the themes begin to take shape.
Inside the retro glamping cabins
Inside the cabins, the owners have created wonderful, pop-culture themes. Based on contemporary musicians and the eras that defined them, comes the style. Lava lamps and unstructured curves set the scene.
Each pod is double the width of standard glamping pods, so can sleep up to four adults and two children.
The condensed and arched nature of the purpose-built retro glamping cabins gives the impression of compact living. But that doesn’t mean it’s cramped. There’s a light and airy feel which you get from the large windowed frontage. The front decking just opens up a world of green fields that goes on forever, and there are classy and modern touches everywhere.
None more so than the intelligent heating, smart TV and interiors, and the wood-fired hot tub.
