If you're looking for a relaxing, rural, rush-free break away
from the turmoil of traffic and bustling everyday life, then stop
looking - Plush Yurt is the place for you. This five-person
yurt is based in a secret garden in the trees in West Sussex that
you'll never forget. Your traditional Mongolian yurt stands
tall amongst the blooming woodlands of this fantastic, communal,
magical site. Plush Yurt is equipped with everything that you
and your family could need for a mindful holiday.
Lie in a hammock and watch the sunlight dapple through the leaves. Sit around the bonfire, wrapped in a blanket and the arm of someone you love, watching the flickering flames reach skyward. Immerse yourself in the warming waters of the Scandinavian hot tub while looking over swaying wheat fields towards the coast. And at the end of the day, sink into the handmade oak-framed double bed, under the richly coloured draped ceiling, while the antique wood-burning stove keeps you toasty. Better than the feeling of total escapism is the opportunity to do this with the ones you love. What better bonding experience for your clan than an off-grid encounter in the East Sussex countryside, while still enjoying the luxuries of hot showers, cinema screens, ice boxes for cold drinks and a large, bubbling hot tub. The perfect place for some quality time with your nearest and dearest for a wholesome holiday experience.
Interior & Facilities
Plush Yurts is spacious, and features a handmade oak double bed, with sumptuous bedding and blankets for a cosy night's sleep. Two floor beds are available for children up to 14 years of age, and travel cots are also provided upon request. Sheepskin rugs cover the natural coir floor, and an antique wood-burning stove warms the space beautifully. This yurt is quirky and colourful, from the rich-coloured ceiling drapes to the hand-painted table and chairs. The yurt is off-grid, but changeable LED lighting and a small stereo allow for a little ambience. All structures have outdoor seating and a gas barbecue for cooking.
Bathroom: This cleverly laid out site has an allocated space for everything, including a wooden-clad bathroom block, housing 4 hot water, gas-powered showers in family-sized cubicles, and flushing toilets as well as composting loos.
Communal facilities: This site has been created to bring people
together, as is seen by the 30ft Home Yurt, which has the capacity
for 117 people standing, and up to 60 people seated on sofas and
chairs in front of the large wood-burning stove and cinema
The outdoor space provides a large communal bonfire space with benches, a bandstand, a hammock circle for chilling out, and picnic tables for shared al fresco dinners.
The mess tent kitchen has gas ovens, cooking accessories and solar-powered ice boxes, as well as sinks. Above each of the bin areas you will find nifty herb gardens, where you can pick some mint for your lamb burger…or your mojito!
The natural play area has an indoor cinema tent, a treehouse, a bean bag tipi, den building facilities and the capacity for much fun and laughter.
And for a little luxury, why not enjoy the 8-12 seater wood-fired hot tub - don't forget to bring your towel.
Please note: there are charge points for phones at reception, but the rest of the site is off-grid, meaning no digital distractions from meaningful moments.
Please also note that this site is made up of several yurts - your particular yurt will be allocated to you when you place an enquiry.
This site can also be booked for groups of between 10 and 55 people, under our listing Plush Camp.

This destination is especially popular with walkers due to its proximity to the beautiful rolling chalk down land of the South Downs and the stunning coastline of the south of England. The blue flag beach of West Wittering is less than 10 miles away from Plush Yurt, making for a fantastic day trip to the sea for a dip in the water followed by an ice cream cone. A few miles from Plush Yurt is the ancient grove of Kingley Vale, full of Europe's veteran yew trees, which are home to an impressive congregation of green woodpeckers.
