Located on the outskirts of the Hartland Cornwall Heritage Coastline, Family Yurt Retreat comprises of two luxurious family-friendly Mongolian yurts that have a British twist,

Both with Wifi, woodburning stoves, and their own exclusive wood-fired hot tub,  perfect for couples family getaway or adult group holiday!

The yurts are wooden framed with felt lining, covered with a waterproof canvas suitable for the British climate (although Cornwall does get some of the best weather in the UK) if the weather is not guaranteed during your stay, we can guarantee your stay will be comfortably warm and cosy come rain or shine! 

They are set on strong wooden decking (so no squelchy mud underfoot) and inside you'll find large handmade beds, log burning stoves, and snuggly blankets and furnishings. 

Family Yurt Retreat provides lots of practical things to make sure your self-catering stay is hassle-free such as pots and pans, crockery, cutlery and even herbs from our communal garden! So no need to haul all your camping paraphernalia here.

    Each yurt has its own undercover outdoor kitchen with separate barbeque, alfresco dining area, refrigeration, and storage facilities. pots and pans, crockery, cutlery are provided (you can enjoy herbs from our communal garden)

    Electric lighting, Log burner stoves (with a generous starter pack of wood with more available to purchase on-site).

Location and Destination
Sandymouth. 5 minutes' drive
A dramatic expanse of glorious golden sand popular with surfers and beachgoers for miles
around. There is quite a steep walk down to the beach, so may not be suitable for everyone,
but well worth a visit. The beach is so big, you should easily be able to find your own space.
Summerleaze Beach. Bude. 5 miles
Located in the heart of Bude with lots of parking and access to shops and cafes for snacking
or ice creams. There is also an open-air sea pool, which is great for small kids, while you
can also hire a beach hut and watch the amazing Cornish sunsets.
Crooklets Beach. Bude. 5 miles
The next bay along from Summerleaze, great for rock pooling and surfing. You can also hire
a beach hut here too, while Rosie's kitchen offers beach-side snacks and the best hot
chocolate in Bude!
Widemouth Bay. 3 miles South of Bude.
An impressive Blue Flag beach with oodles of sand, parking and sea views. The great surf
makes it a popular stop for bodyboarders and surfers.
Cornish Towns and Villages
The cobbled streets and glorious architecture makes Clovelly one of the most picturesque
towns around. Wander the pretty streets and visit one of the many boutique shops or lovely
eateries perfect for an afternoon stroll or a spot of lunch.
Boscastle and Tintagel
These two beautiful villages have a little bit of everything. The scenery is fabulous: beaches,
harbours, tiny country lanes and the mystical Cornish Moors are all within easy reach. The
villages themselves are filled with delightful shops, galleries and historic buildings to stroll
Visit Padstow for a bustling harbour packed with fishing and boat rides. The town also offers
great food, with traditional pubs and eateries abound. It also filled with numerous shops, so
feast and shop to your heart's content.

Eden Project

The world's largest 'greenhouse' the Eden Project offers a spectacular array of plant life from
around the world. Lose yourself in different habitats and learn so much along the way. There
is also an active events programme with arts, music and theatre on offer. It's also a great
place to go with the kids, with plenty of things to do for the little ones.
