The home crafted cabin, is beautifully appointed with a comfy double bed, tv, electric heater, fully equipped bathroom and kitchen, and everything you need for glamping luxury. Guests are ideally positioned to explore a gorgeous stretch of unbridled coastline with a plethora of magnificent coastal walks and stunning beaches, ranging from ruggedly secluded rocky treats, to unparalleled stretches of golden sand.
This beautiful country escape is the perfect tonic from the hustle and bustle of everyday life offering a tranquil setting from which to set out and explore the lovely surroundings. Unwind with a glass of wine on the decked terrace overlooking the beautiful fishing lake or enjoy a romantic meal with the BBQ provided and watch the dying sun fade away in a cascade of gorgeous colour.
A delightful family run spa is located a short walk from the site, which offers a range of lovely treatments, and a warming pool for swimmers and loungers. Please check in to the spa reception to treat yourself to any of the facilities. Course fishing is available on site for free as well a tennis court, which can be enjoyed exclusively by guests, while a communal BBQ hut is great place to hang out with friends or meet other guests. The historic towns of Clovelly and Harland Point are within 5 miles of the site offering cobbled streets and a selection of places to eat and drink, which make the perfect stop-offs after a day of exploring.
Interiors and Facilities
Barley Bay is a cabin for two equipped with a king-sized bed but can also accommodate a cot for a small infant below 18 months. The cabin has a fully stocked kitchenette, situated on one side, which comes with an electric hob, oven, sink, fridge, cutlery and crockery. While on the other side a shower room offers a constant supply of hot water and flushing toilet. There is a sofa and flat screen TV for quiet evenings in the cosy cabin, while the electrical heating, double glazing and superior insulation keeps it warm all year round. The cabin also has its own deck with seating and a BBQ, perfect for outdoor feasts, and somewhere to sit out and enjoy those balmy summer evenings. 4G phone signal is accessible over the whole site.
Situation and Location
Barley Bay is well placed to explore a range of coastal walks and beaches in the area. North Devon is famous for awe-inspiring coastline, rocky coves and beautiful sandy beaches. The coastal path is a little over 1 mile from the site, while the nearest beach, Blegberry is a around 1.5 miles. However, Blegberry is quite difficult to access, so may not be entirely suitable to families with children but offers plenty of privacy and seclusion for those looking to get away from it all. The nearest sandy beach, Hartland Key is located 2.5 miles from the site, while the vast beach of Sandy Mouth is approximately 15 mins drive. Lots of big sandy beaches are within 30 minutes' drive of the location.
The historic towns of Hartland (1.5 miles) and Clovelly (5 miles) with their cobbled streets are located nearby, while the nearest pub is in Heartland, of which there are 3 to choose from. The nearest restaurant, Pattard Kitchen is within walking distance, which offers a unique farm to fork dining experience for authentic taste of Devon. The nearest local shop is 1.5 miles away, which stays open late.
