Rising from the bank of an oak coppice in the breath-taking Dorset Downs is Oak Apple Lodge, a luxurious safari tent that serves as a love nest among the trees. This colourful couple's retreat overlooks a sweeping green valley, with horses grazing beyond the bluebells. The serene safari tent sits on its own plateau, raised above the wildflower meadow beside the ancient woodlands. These wooded areas are home to wild fallow deer, giving Oak Apple's popular sibling, Deerland Safari, its name.

This beautiful canvas structure has been built with comfort and privacy in mind. On entering Oak Apple Lodge, you'll notice that a large double bed dominates the middle of the living space, cloaked in sumptuously-coloured bed linen and cushions. Above this hangs a large Moroccan-style lampshade with a large mirror above the bed reflecting the light around this generous space. Rustic, rust-coloured rugs decorate the plush wooden floor, and clean cream canvas drapes from the ceiling, meaning that this is a comfortable and serene space for your break in Dorset.

On one side of the lodge you'll find a small, comprehensive kitchen space, with an electric induction hob, a kettle, crockery, pans and cutlery, as well as the luxury of an electric wine cooler to keep your beverage of choice cool. Relax on the deck with a hot chocolate, or cook up an al fresco feast on the barbecue.
The surroundings are what you'll come to Oak Apple Lodge for - with a backdrop of mature oak trees, and a blanket of bluebells surrounding the property in spring, this beautiful abode allows for a relaxing stay with your sweetheart overlooking the lush, wildlife-filled glades of Britain's ever-popular county, Dorset.
Oak Apple Lodge and its sister safari tent, Deerland, are situated 4 miles from the beautiful West Dorset town of Beaminster. This area is steeped in history, and nearby Bridport is well known for rope making and flea markets. The charming chocolate box village of Cattistock is merely 5 miles away, with its thatched roof cottages and the traditional Fox and Hounds pub, a great place for a local beer. If it's a seaside trip you're after, then why not head 10.5 miles south of Oak Apple Lodge to the beautiful West Bay beach on the spectacular Jurassic Coast, also known to followers of British crime drama as Broadchurch. Or travel 14 miles south-east of the lodge to the county town of Dorchester, Thomas Hardy's inspiration for the fictional Casterbridge, and The Keep Military Museum. Mapperton House, the location for the film version of "Far from the Madding Crowd", is a mere 3 miles from the Lodge.
