***Any day arrival - Min 2 nights stay***
Majestically perched at the top of its own private field, with magnificent views over rolling Dorset hills sits Badgers Hut, a beautifully renovated Second World War gun carriage for two. This countryside sanctuary is the perfect tonic for rumbustious city living, with peace and tranquillity ingrained in its very core; the ideal setting for a romantic couples escape.
The owners are currently in the midst of a rewilding project to help restore the farmland to its former natural splendour. Prepare yourself for an eco-friendly escape amongst the flourishing fauna, with a lovely mix of livestock and native wildlife. Guests are invited to enjoy this tranquil paradise at their own pleasure while also being respectful to the landscape. Please be careful not to leave any waste behind, which could influence the project.
The carriage has been attractively designed and restored to create a warm and cosy interior, which contains a wood-burning stove and comfy double bed, as well as full cooking facilities, including a gas-powered hob and fridge. The accommodation also benefits from a full ensuite bathroom with hot showers and natural composting toilet, as well as outside seating and a fire pit, perfect for heart-warming nights amongst the stars.
This candescent corner of English countryside is delightfully positioned near the historical market town of Shafetsbury, and offers a great base for exploring a profusion of country walks and hillside jaunts in the area.

The Carriage is tucked away in the top corner of its own private field well away from other dwellings. The small 65 Acre Farm is home to a few cows, three gorgeous collies and sometimes a few sheep, which are occasionally let loose around badgers to munch on the grass.
A small seated area outside the carriage is a great spot for relaxing and making the most of the sweeping views across the leafy grounds. Sit back and watch the world go by, which around here simply means an assortment of birds and bees fluttering past with the occasional whistling cry of a buzzard in the sky.
Outdoor seating and a designated fire-pit is perfect for star gazing on a clear night and magical nights next to the twirling flames and provides a lovely spot to sit and relax on dry days.
