Cwm Dwr (meaning Valley of Water in Welsh) is equipped with everything you need for a serene romantic getaway. Wake up to the scents and sounds of nature and enjoy breakfast on the stone terrace. Spend your evenings relaxing around the crackling fire, or soaking in the wood-fired hot tub under the stars.
Stunningly beautiful countryside and lovely walks are at your fingertips including the nearby Black Mountains with Offa's Dyke and, not too distant, the Brecon Beacons National Park. What's more, the little local village of Ewyas Harold is a 30-minute stroll away offering pubs and local village shops brimming with regional produce and freshly baked bread. This is the perfect place to escape for an indulgent romantic treat.

The beautifully furnished hut has an open-plan kitchen and diner with a box bed sleeping area, comfortable seating to relax by the wood burner, and, for a simple supper, a two-burner gas hob. A kettle is also provided and a cold chest with ice packs to keep things fresh.
For a peaceful night's sleep step, up into the double bed with views across the woodland. The bathroom with a hot shower and WC is en-suite. Cosy towels are of course included.
Unlimited supplies of wood will keep the hut lovely and warm, while electricity and hot water are included. There is a radio with bluetooth for music, but no TV or Wi-Fi.
The wood-fired hot tub can be set-up for your arrival, so bring your bathers and relax amongst the gorgeous woodland surrounds.
A table and chairs are located on the stone terrace for al fresco dining, and a fire-pit with comfortable seats for warm toes and toasty marshmallows is on a lower terrace overlooking the fields and the valley below.
A delicious welcome basket with locally baked bread, butter, eggs and apple juice will be in the hut on arrival, and you are bound to receive a warm welcome from Merlin the dog.
Parking space for up to two cars is available only 50m walk from the hut.

Located on a small working farm, the hut is fully enclosed in its own private grounds with beautiful views over the sheep fields and valley below. This is a little snippet of paradise, so bird watchers and nature enthusiasts will have plenty to spot in and around the grounds. In addition, the south facing hut perfectly soaks up the westering sun throughout the day and makes a delightful place to relax and enjoy the tranquil setting. Up in the fields above the hut, far-reaching views over the mountains and the challenging Cat's Back can be enjoyed from the vantage point of a fallen tree.
If you feel the need to explore there are a variety of things to see and do in the area. Fabulous walks are listed on cards in the hut together with maps and helpful phone numbers.
The local village of Ewyas Harold is only a short drive or slightly longer walk away, which offers two pubs, one with an excellent restaurant, and basic amenities including a village shop, local butchers, plus a highly recommended fish and chip shop.
Friendly hostelries abound including, a short drive away, an undiscovered local pub, unchanged for over a hundred years with a hole in the wall for a bar and a tempting collection of traditional pub games.
Herefordshire's market towns are easily accessible by car with regular farmers' markets and the world-famous Hay on Wye literary festival. Just across the Welsh border is an area steeped in history with some of Europe's finest surviving castles. 13th-century Grosmont and 12th-century Whitecastle are close by, while Raglan and Abergavenny Castles are set against the spectacular backdrop of Offa's Dyke and are certainly worth a visit.
The Herefordshire landscape is renowned for its pristine rolling
countryside and tight little valleys. Explore the Black Mountains close by with
breathtaking walks on Offa's Dyke to a backdrop of wild mountain ponies. Venturing
further afield, visit the majestic Brecon Beacons National Park for uninterrupted
views over the Welsh Marches in one of the UK's few remaining wildernesses.
