Your cosy home in the trees offers the ultimate return to nature in one of 6 eco-chic structures built around private, secluded lakes on the edge of Lincolnshire's most attractive village, Woodhall Spa.

The chic interiors combine rustic with contemporary providing you with a calm, comfortable self-catering experience. The colour schemes are in warm natural tomes, from shades of cream, through to browns, greens and greys with flashes of contrasting colour here and there.

Big picture windows in the lounge let the warm light flood in and the views over the lake are truly breathtaking. Relax in your steaming hot outdoor bathtub, enjoying the subtle sounds of the birds, the bees and the rustle in the trees. Rustic wooden walls and spacious open plan living, ambient lighting and a roaring wood-burning stove are just the place to relax after a day exploring or rowing on the lake.

Decking/Terrace with luxury sunken bathtub with funky copper pipes and vintage style taps - one small step to get in. The bath overlooks the peaceful lake and woodlands, just the spot so lie back and enjoy the sounds of water, wildlife and nature. The deep wooden ledge around the bathtub is the ideal place for your drinks and champagne bottles. Outdoor chairs and dining table are provided on the elevated terrace, giving it a garden feel, with Rhododendrons reaching up to the balustrade. Books and games are provided for sunny and mixed weather days.

Outside/Garden access to a lake, with rowing boat, and open woodlands all around, with the addition of a fire pit and grill with log seating. Starter logs provided for outside too. The grounds are shared with the guests of 6 other treehouses.

WOODHALL SPA VILLAGE

Woodhall Spa is a beautiful inland resort with an Edwardian character, set amidst magnificent pine woods. Regarded as one of Lincolnshire's most attractive villages, Woodhall is famous for its peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, and with many fine cafes and individual niche shops, it is the perfect location for a short break or holiday in Lincolnshire. The village has much to offer in terms of heritage, visitor attractions, two top-class golf courses, the unique Kinema in the Woods, Cottage Museum, Jubilee Park outdoor heated swimming pool and several aviation heritage sites associated with 617 Squadron- The Dambusters.

The amazing Woodhall Spa 1940s Festival is a  great weekend with free entry; The Woodhall Spa 40s Festival has a wide variety of 1940s 'Home Front' themed events which take place at numerous venues across the village throughout this special weekend in July. Get dressed up and join in the unique atmosphere of the Woodhall Spa 40s Festival as the whole village turns back time to life in the 1940s.

Walking in Woods & Fields

The Pinewoods is a 19 acre woodland at the centre of the village, owned by the Woodland Trust. It is made up of mature oak, Scots pine, beech and birch, it attracts visitors, particularly in the spring and autumn.

Join the Viking Way is a 147-mile long footpath which passes through Woodhall Spa en route to Oakham in Rutland

Walking the Woodhall Spa trail

The Spa Trail runs for 3.4miles along the former  Horncastle Branch Line between Sandy Lane and Thornton Lodge at Fifty Acre near Horncastle.  It is concurrent with the Viking Way and forms a continuous traffic-free footpath between Woodhall Spa and Horncastle.

Cycling

The Water Rail Way is a 25 miles long part of the National Cycle Trail that runs from Boston to Lincoln following the banks of the river Between Woodhall Spa and Lincoln, it consists of a tarmac path that runs along the route of the former railway line from Boston to Lincoln.  It is open to all forms of non-motorised transport and is named after its a native but seldom-seen wading bird called the Water rail.

The National Golf Centre at Woodhall Spa

Voted the best inland golf course in the UK.  It consists of two courses, the Bracken Course and the Hotchkin Course, which has been rated as one of the finest heathland golf courses in the world!  As famous for its natural beauty as it is its dramatic bunkering and tactical challenges, the National Golf Centre at Woodhall Spa is a must for all golf lovers.

Kinema in the Woods - Woodhall Spa

Woodhall Spa`s famous Kinema in the Woods is truly unique. It is the only cinema in the country to operate by projection from behind the screen. The building is highly unusual. Originally constructed in the late 19th century and known as 'The Barn' by local folk who used it for meetings and bazaars, it had a verandah added from which spectators could watch cricket and tennis being played in the Spa grounds. It was also used as a concert hall with well-known performers coming from various cities and the London stage, in Edwardian times. Check out their website for a current listing.

Jubilee Park -Woodhall Spa

A fantastic municipal park in Woodhall, Lincolnshire, with lots of excellent facilities including a newly refurbished open-air swimming pool,  tennis courts, croquet and putting greens. Sports equipment such as tennis racquets, croquet mallets, golf clubs etc can be hired on-site.

Tattersall Castle, Lincolnshire is a National Trust property located less than 5 miles from Woodhall Spa. There are 6 floors to explore in this stunning medieval brick castle. Climb to the top of the tower for fantastic views across Lincolnshire - on a clear day you can see Lincoln Cathedral and the Boston Stump!   Bolingbrook Castle near to The Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre is the birthplace of King Henry IV. This 13th Century castle was completely destroyed during the English Civil War and has remained a ruin ever since. Now owned by English Heritage, you can still see the hexagonal remains of the castle.

DAYS OUT

Lincoln is an ideal destination for a day trip offering an experience rich in history combined with independent boutique shopping, great arts and culture and a wealth of places to eat and drink. The shopping and tourist area stretches from St Marks Shopping centre in the south up to the Cathedral Quarter - Don't miss 'Steep Hill', it is very steep as its name suggests, but well worth the walk and voted Britain's Greatest Street for very good reason. The city is ready to be explored with walks and cycle routes, you'll find quaint cafes, restaurants and many fine individual shops and of course, the world famous Christmas market.

Lincolnshire Coast 25-minute drive

Lincolnshire coast where sloping sand dunes embrace mile upon mile of golden sands, a place where nature thrives. So, it's no surprise that much of it is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). It offers one of the best places in Britain to see breeding grey seals. While each year around a million birds from across the globe migrate along its sandy shoreline.

Lincolnshire Wolds 5 miles from Woodhall Spa

Boasting 216 square miles of unspoilt countryside, the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) is a nationally important and cherished landscape, home to some of the UK's finest countryside. A stone's throw from the historic city of Lincoln, you can explore beautiful hidden valleys or stroll through Lincolnshire's charming hamlets. Traditional agriculture is woven into the fabric of Lincolnshire and has helped produce award-winning tasty local produce, such as cheese and sausages, which can be found at every farmers' market and independent shops throughout the Wolds.

MUSEUMS

Another well-known attraction for tourists and visitors alike is the award-winning Cottage Museum in Woodhall , which first opened its doors in 1987 and is known as the small museum with big surprises. It is packed with intriguing stories and displays about Woodhall Spa, the local area and the Wield family, who lived in the building from 1887 until the 1960s. 

FOOD & DRINK

If you're feeling a bit peckish in Woodhall Spa, there are many delicious restaurants to eat offering a variety of cuisines, including the famous Tea House in the Woods which is recommended for its local produce, in a beautiful setting, steeped in history.

Woodhall Spa also offers many niche cafes with plenty of choices on offer and refreshingly different menus from your run of the mill ones, with exceptionally good cakes and coffee.

Blue Bell pub at Tattershall dates back to the 13th Century, and has long been a popular watering hole for air and ground crew from nearby RAF bases. The Heroes Bar, where RAF personnel including Prince William have added their signatures to the ceiling is fascinating and filled with RAF memorabilia - it serves delicious food and has featured in the Good Beer guide for the past 8 years.

Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Centre at RAF Conningsby Take a fascinating guided tour of the hangar and get up close to the iconic Spitfire, Lancaster, Hurricane, Chipmunk and Dakota aeroplanes. If you're really lucky you may well get to see a Typhoon or two take off and land at RAF Conningsby, next door.

The Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre

The Centre is the largest WW2 Bomber Command airfield in the UK. Here you can experience the atmosphere of a Second World War airfield including the sights, sounds and smells! You can even taxi down the runway in a Lancaster Bomber. With award-winning displays, friendly & knowledgeable staff, and lots of great events happening throughout the year, The Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre is another gem that is not to be missed.
