Step into the enchanted world of Flower, a gorgeous 57ft narrowboat, quietly nestled between the birds and the bees of a gorgeous Oxfordshire garden. This tranquil stretch of Oxford Canal, on the edge of the renowned Cotswolds area, is a paradigm of loveliness with quaint country villages and glorious countryside abound. This beautiful vessel creates her own sense of magic, from the magnificent hand painted walls to her unique collection of precious cargo. Immerse yourself in a world of wonder with the record player spinning, the enigmatic glow of fairy lights sprinkled through the gardens, with nothing but doves and swans for company. This enchanting hideaway makes a truly special and unique place for a romantic break.

Flower is delightfully equipped for a self-catering holiday with a fully functional kitchen, bathroom, two lounging areas, plus a luxury soft double bedroom. The elegant interior has a beautiful homely feel and is kept lovely and warm with its log burning stove, electric heating in every room and numerous cosy corners to nuzzle into. Please bear in mind, Flower is a traditional narrowboat, so is just under 7ft wide throughout. As such, she may not suit people who are claustrophobic or find narrow doors and passages challenging.

Amongst the fabulous garden outside, you will find a barbecue, several seating areas and a hot tub that sits gorgeously on the water's edge. On a clear night the light free setting is perfect for stargazing and relaxing in complete seclusion. What's more, watch in awe as the stars reflect majestically across the ultra-still canal, creating a majestic auditorium of starry delight.

Flower is hidden away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life in a wonderfully tranquil location, yet, less than a mile away from the charming village of Kirtlington. This quintessential English village lays home to two sumptuous watering holes, The Oxford Arms and The Dashwood Bar and Restaurant, both serving excellent food. The serene country surrounds are perfect for walking and exploring with canals, rivers and beautiful countryside interspersed with quaint country hamlets, villages and towns. What's more, Oxford is only 10 miles away, which offers an abundance of ancient architecture and historical buildings, but also comes well stocked with independent shops and award-winning restaurants.

Please be aware, there is family of 20 Doves who live nearby, so the air is regularly filled with their gentle coo, as well as the beautiful chatter of many other resident birds. Kingfishers and Herons can often be seen fishing in the canal, while Green Woodpeckers can be seen in the gardens. Also, D'arcy, the resident Swan, will often knock on your window for breakfast, while your lovely hosts Jane and Vyv can provide a few pieces of bread to feed him.

Guests must also be aware that for one weekend per month from April to September Flower's sleepy grounds transform into a hive of activity for Jane's Enchanted Tea Garden. If you are looking for peace and quiet throughout the day, please make sure you check the calendar (below). However, guest staying during this time will be treated to scrumptious tea and cake, while the privacy and tranquillity of the gardens will return to normal during the evening.

Guests arriving by train can arrange free collection from Islip, Oxford Parkway, Tackley, Heyford or Hanborough. Tackley station is the nearest if guests are walking.

Flower will share her grounds with guests for the Tea Garden on the following dates:

May 18th and 19th
