Group glamping is the new friendcation, and Cherrygrove in the beautiful county of Somerset offers some of the best yurt glamping facilities to accommodate your family birthday bash or hen do. Sleeping up to 32 people in 8 abodes, this collection of colourful structures sit gently in the rolling countryside just south of the Quantock Hills, allowing for walks with a view, sunsets to die for, and unrestricted star-gazing around a fire with friends.
The site consists of two Safari tents one Geodome and five Mongolian yurts, each with its own hand-painted roof pools in vivid, enticing colours, and decorated furniture, colourful rugs and luxurious linens, drawing the eye and comforting the mind. In addition, a canvas-covered geodesic dome sits majestically in its own corner of the site, affording a family of four a spacious and unique glamping experience. This beautiful formation, made up of triangular elements and an intricate lattice frame, is an interesting alternative to the more traditional yurts, and is as captivating as the beautiful heath and combe-filled countryside around it.
And with fantastic group facilities such as a large bathroom with several hot shower cubicles and flushing toilets, as well as a large communal kitchen and dining area in one barn, and a relaxed chillout space in another, Cherrygrove is the perfect blend of immersing yourself in the outstanding national beauty of the Somerset hills just north of Taunton, with all the comforts of home at your fingertips.

Cherrygrove sits beside the Quantock Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - this location is heaven for ramblers, birdwatchers and nature buffs, and stretches 15 miles northwest to the coastline at Kilne.
Cherrygrove owners Mark and Emma suggest that you bring your mountain bikes as the bike trails into the Quantocks and along the Taunton and Bridgwater canal are worth the effort.
Cherrygrove is roughly 5 miles from the military county town of Taunton, home to 151-year-old Taunton Flower Show, held in Vivary Park, on the edge of Sherford Stream, since 1866. Cherrygrove is just off the M5 South between Weston-Super-Mare and Exeter.
All accommodation is very different in colour and ambience,. No matter which of these striking structures you choose for your break in the country, they all contain the same useful items to make your stay easier and more relaxing.
The living spaces each contain a double bed and a double futon, sleeping 4 people per structure.
There's a table and chairs to seat 4 people to dine, and there's even a chest of drawers for storage. A wood-burning stove presents heat and a beautiful, flickering glow on cooler evenings, as well as rechargeable lanterns. There is a small amount of electricity per yurts, powering the bedside lights and allowing guests to charge phones and tablets via USB charge points. The kettle for the outside gas stove and utensils for the BBQ are stored inside the yurts.
The outside areas include a deck with a bench, a BBQ and the gas camping stoves. The main facilities are in the barn - a large kitchen and communal dining area consisting of an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge-freezer, kettle and toaster, as well as a full range of cookware and eating implements.
The barn also houses 4 power showers and 4 flushing toilets - small towels are provided, but guests must bring bath towels and toiletries. There is also an additional charge for bedding.
Oak and Ash Safari lodge have your own private shower and flushing loo!
You can purchase extra wood and West Country BBQ charcoal from the Barn, which also comes with an outdoor covered chillout area, making this communal space ideal for parties and celebrations.
