Furzeclose Yurt

A holiday in Somerset can be as striking as your abode when you choose a stay in Furzeclose Yurt, a sunny sanctuary in amongst the rolling countryside.  Furzeclose Yurt comfortably sleeps up to 4 people, with its vibrant interior and hand-painted ribs, creating a warm and cosy environment.  Furzeclose Yurt is one of five traditional Mongolian Yurts along with an unusual geodome available at Cherrygrove, a peaceful site just east of the Quantock Hills.  With fantastic on-site facilities, including a large kitchen/dining space, hot showers and a chillout barn, you have the option to mingle with other families for a social stay, or book the site out for a family gathering or rustic hen party.  If you'd rather the seclusion of the countryside, the site itself offers plenty of roaming land around the owners' working farm, as well as miles of walking paths and biking tracks around England's very first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Interior & Facilities

This sunny, spacious yurt comfortably accommodates a double bed and a double futon, sleeping 4 people.  A dining table and chairs allows for light meals or card game championships with the kids once the sun has gone down.  The small amount of electricity to the yurts provides lamp light as well as USB charge points if you remember that you own a phone (we guarantee you'll be too busy to even use it).  A small wood-burning stove comes with a basket full of logs and a kettle - be vigilant of little ones around the fire.
Outside, Furzeclose Yurt has its own deck, upon which sits some chars for lounging in the sun, and your own barbecue - bring your own sausages!
For more intricate dinners, the converted Dutch barn has a fully equipped kitchen and dining room.  This space contains an electric oven with hob, a fridge-freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster, as well as full cooking utensils and appliances.
Adjoining this room is a large bathroom with 4 hot water shower cubicles and 4 flushing toilets, as well as wash basins.
Just outside the Dutch barn you'll find a chill out area with tables for al fresco dining, and a large fire pit.

Location

Somerset is one of the UK's most undiscovered gems - with three AONB's and a coastal National Park to choose from, there's no end to the beautiful sights and adventures Somerset has to offer.  Follow in the footsteps of literary greats Samuel Taylor Coleridge and William Wordsworth on the 50-mile Coleridge Way.  This poetry inducing path stretches between Nether Stowey and runs through the Quantock Hills and into Exmoor National Park to the northern coastal harbour village of Lynmouth, where you can have a well-deserved lunch overlooking the Bristol Channel in the highly rated restaurant The Pavilion Dining Room.
