Sleeping a family of four under its leafy-coloured, hand-painted branches, Gotten Down Yurt is in the ideal location for exploring secret spots in North Somerset. In a quiet, rural location, close to a working farm and with views stretching out towards the Quantock Hills, Gotten Down Yurt is one of five beautiful, colourful yurts on this site, and offers cosy, restful accommodation after a day of adventures in bucolic English countryside.
Gotten Down Yurt's facilities allow you and your family to immerse yourselves in the glamping experience. Use the barbecue or the oven facilities to cook up an al fresco holiday feast. Snuggle up under the stars in a comfy bed, with the Milky Way visible through the yurt's transparent crown. Wake up and jump into a hot shower, before relaxing with a hot cup of coffee from the stove on your own deck. This site offers the best of memory-making family holidays that neither you nor the kids will ever forget.

Gotten Down Yurt's location is almost halfway between the Quantock Hills and the Blackdown Hills, which sit on the Somerset border with Devon. While both locations are similarly wild and beautiful Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Blackdown Hills have a long history of aviation, as you can discover at Dunkeswell Airfield Heritage Centre, the only US second world war airbase in Europe, and Upottery Airfield Heritage Centre, which played a pivotal role in the D-Day operations.
Exmoor National Park is a few miles north west from Gotten Down Yurt, and its breath-taking views inspired many famous greats such as William Wordsworth, Ada Lovelace and Percey Bysshe Shelley.
This spacious, fresh-feeling yurt comfortably accommodates a double bed and a double futon, sleeping 4 people. A dining table and chairs allows for light meals or card game championships with the kids once the sun has gone down. The small amount of electricity to the yurts provides lamp light as well as USB charge points if you remember that you own a phone (we guarantee you'll be too busy to even use it). A small wood-burning stove comes with a basket full of logs and a kettle - be vigilant of little ones around the fire.
Outside, Gotten Down Yurt has its own deck, upon which sits some chars for lounging in the sun, and your own barbecue - bring your own sausages!
For more intricate dinners, the converted Dutch barn has a fully equipped kitchen and dining room. This space contains an electric oven with hob, a fridge-freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster, as well as full cooking utensils and appliances.
Adjoining this room is a large bathroom with 4 hot water shower cubicles and 4 flushing toilets, as well as wash basins.
Just outside the Dutch barn you'll find a chill out area with tables for al fresco dining, and a large fire pit.
