Isabel is a spacious beautifully presented bell tent designed, with air vents, insect screens, and wood-burning stove.
There are 2 bell tents to choose from on-site Isabel and Annabel each will sleep up to four people comfortably, including a double and two single futons, which can be folded up when not in use for additional space. The bohemian-style decoration includes Egyptian cotton bed linen, soft, sumptuous cushions and thick rugs, keeping you cosy whatever the weather. In addition, we've included our own personal touches: vintage trunks for storage, colourful throws, fairy lights and bunting: a truly magical experience for both adults and children, or couples who want a restful and relaxing romantic retreat. And those wood-burning stoves will keep you warm and toasty on chilly nights - there are even convenient water heaters for your morning cuppa.
Surrounded by fields, woods, and Wiltshire's famous rolling downland; what better way to end the day than enjoying a barbeque while watching the setting sun and soaking up the atmosphere before slipping into bed with the comforting glow of the campfire just a short distance away. Interiors and Facilities
Our bell tents offer a more traditional approach to camping, but with a variety of lovely touches that make it a welcoming, comfortable, and overall special experience. Our bell tents can sleep up to four people no extra cost (comprising of a double and 2 single futons) therefore are ideal for families or groups of friends. Included in your bell tent booking is access to our luxurious safari tent, Haigha's Form, which is fully equipped with kitchen facilities and tables, three large comfy sofas, and a lovely wood burner to keep you warm on chilly nights. As our bell tents do not have cooking facilities, Haigha's form is the perfect place to cook and eat your meals, play board games, and stay toasty. There is a toilet/shower hut facility a short walk from the huts that you will pass when you first enter camping grounds.
About the site - A note from the owners
The family-run business is aimed at people who love the outdoors. We're located within the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a stunning landscape of ancient woods, gently meandering chalk springs, and rolling downland, offering peace, quiet and relaxation.
Staying in one of our shepherd's huts or bell tents, is a very special experience. You can choose a traditionally-built shepherd's hut or spend a night under canvas in one of our very spacious bell tents; our Hayloft is perfect for classes, special occasions, meetings and group events.
All our accommodation is finished to an extremely high standard. Wood burning stoves offer warm, cosy nights in, whilst our futons and soft and cosy bedding make for a good night's sleep. In the summer, you can barbecue just how you like it. Even our fire-pits add to the atmosphere. As night falls, toasting marshmallows, telling ghost stories or whiling away the evening hours as you watch pictures in the embers will prepare you for a restful night's sleep. Switch off from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and switch on your senses! Soak up the atmosphere and tune into nature.
The location means you're never far away from nature, with birdlife, flora and fauna in abundance. In addition, there are our own friendly farm animals, everything from goats, sheep, and a pig, to donkeys and alpacas: they'll all be pleased to meet you!
Although you'll be happy just exploring the site, you're also not far away from some of Wiltshire's top attractions. Among the best are the World Heritage Sites of Avebury and Stonehenge; Bowood House, with its gardens and much-loved adventure playground (complete with a pirate ship); and the Georgian city of Bath with its spa and grand architecture - all an easy drive away. Closer to home, our nearby network of footpaths and bridleways gets you out into our own beautiful local landscape, leading to magical places such as our local White Horse, one of eight still visible in Wiltshire.
Whether it's a holiday, a weekend break or a romantic escape from the city, this is the perfect spot - offering a truly relaxing, restful experience we think you'll treasure forever.
