Location and Destination

Visit the Crown Inn at Hallow for a lovely country pub or make your way to Worcester city centre, only 6 miles away, to experience the city lights with a multitude of bars and restaurants to choose from.

The Severn Valley Steam Railway and West Midlands Safari Park are only a few miles away in a lovely little town called Bewdley which is well worth a visit.

Whitely Court English Heritage site is just 2 miles away and can be seen from the site, while Ockeridge Fishing lakes are right next door.

For the outdoor enthusiasts, we recommend a walk through the local orchards, suppliers of Bulmer's Cider, or Astley Vineyards, which has a great wine tasting experience. For gin lovers, we recommend a visit to Chase distillery in nearby Herefordshire.

The nearby Martley Hills are a magnificent natural wonder and are extremely popular with walkers and hikers, while the Martley hillside is another popular beauty spot in the vicinity.

The ancient Ockeridge Woods is only a few hundred yards away while the neighbouring Monk Wood makes another great walk and a chance to see a huge variety of wildlife in the area, including plenty of native butterflies in the designated butterfly sanctuary.

Monk Jack Deer are common and can be seen darting through the woods at night, while the surrounding fields are home to various sheep and cattle. At night you are likely to hear the hypnotic hoot of owls hunting in the darkness and plenty of bats swooping by, while the sites natural plateau is great for star gazing.
