Aeron is an impressive safari lodge located on a small valley near Cardigan, West Wales. Once the home of a thriving 17th Century water mill and bakery, this magnificent glamping site now exudes a gentle tranquillity as the shallow stream babbles through, perfect for family glamping holidays. The site lays home to a small cafe and restaurant, which sits next to the ancient mill, while there are plenty of walks and things to do including children play areas and even an on-site gym.
Sitting in a 3-acre paddock, Aeron enjoys a lovely position against the field's hedge with mature trees, meadows and the gorgeous Teif River nearby. One of the things we love about Aeron is its size - generous proportions and furnishings provide a 'home from home' feeling. The living space is open plan with a kitchen and log-fuelled cooking range, proper dining table and chairs for family meals together. Relaxing in the sitting area is too easy on a sumptuous Chesterfield sofa and huge bean bags!

A little wood cabin separates the dining area and king bedroom, and houses a cosy double bed, toward the back of the lodge are two separate bedrooms - one with a king size bed and one with twins. Doorways from the bedrooms lead to two separate shower and WC cabins so you don't have to leave the tent to use them. The whole interior offers a huge amount of space! Out front is your fantastic deck with amazing views of the woodland valley.
The use of hotel quality bedding, mattresses and furnishings have created a luxurious glamping experience - everything about these tents oozes quality. The glamping lodge is surrounded by meadow, mature trees and nearby is a shallow river - perfect for summer splashing about and fun. The stylish cafe serves great coffee, alcohol and light meals, and a nearby wooden fort is a real treat for children to play in. The old Mill and Bakery are under restoration so come back next year and see how it's all developed!
The Cardigan Bay coast is less than 30 minutes away, dolphin watching boat trips, fishing, beaches and pretty coastal towns. If you love walking there's the stunning coastal path, and inland, sweeping views from paths over the Prescelli hills, For history buffs there are many Neolithic sacred sites, ancient churches, and the Pilgrim route to St David's Cathedral. Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire are near enough for day trips to even more beaches and family days out such as Oakwood Theme Park and Folly Farm. Or simply while away a relaxing few days right here amid the peaceful natural surroundings - it's what glamping is all about.
