Ceri Safari Lodge is a spectacular glamping structure near Newcastle Emlyn, sitting right on the border between Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion. Nestled in a small woodland valley this enchanting location has been transformed into an immaculately kept glamping oasis. The well-equipped safari tent offers a real luxury glamping escape with Egyptian cotton beds, en-suite bathroom, superior woodburning stove and indulgent electric hot-tub.
The site is filled with mown paths and walkways meandering through the magnificent grounds, with a variety of trees, wildlife and the gorgeous Teifi river flowing past. Home to a once-thriving 17th Century water mill, the historical remains now make an intriguing centrepiece to the site. With its pretty river, meadows and cafe-bar Ceri makes the perfect place for family holidays.
Guests are next to a supply store which sells logs, refreeze cool-box blocks, provisions, and also provides use of a fridge-freezer. Local produce can also be ordered for you from independent local suppliers. Just a little further is the cafe-bar serving great coffee, alcohol and light meals, and the nearby wooden fort is a real treat for children to play in.
Check-in - 4pm / Check -out - 10am
The Cardigan Bay coast is less than 30 minutes away, dolphin watching boat trips, fishing, beaches and pretty coastal towns. If you love walking there's the stunning coastal path, and inland, sweeping views from paths over the Prescelli hills, For history buffs there are many Neolithic sacred sites, ancient churches, and the Pilgrim route to St David's Cathedral. Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire are near enough for day trips to even more beaches and family days out such as Oakwood Theme Park and Folly Farm. Or simply while away a relaxing few days right here amid the peaceful natural surroundings - it's what glamping is all about.
One of the things we love about Ceri is its quality and size - the generous proportions and furnishings providing a substantial 'home from home' feeling. There's an open plan area with a kitchen and log-fuelled cooking range, proper dining table and chairs for family meals together, a sumptuous Chesterfield sofa and huge bean bags. It's all rather lush and comfortable.
The lodge has two bedrooms, one master with a king size bed and one with twin, single beds. The Scottish wood cabin in between the dining area and master bedroom also houses a cosy double bed. Doorways from the bedrooms lead to a small hall and two separate cabins with a hot shower and flushing loo - you don't have to leave the tent to use them. The interior measures 55 sq metres in total! Out front is your fantastic deck with gorgeous dining furniture and amazing views of the woodland valley and your own hot tub (seats 3 - 4) for some serious relaxing! (additional fees apply for the Hot Tub £85 for a short break and £110 per week).
The use of hotel quality bedding, mattresses and furnishings have created a luxurious glamping experience - everything about these tents oozes quality. The old Mill and Bakery are under restoration so come back next year and see how it's all developed.
