The fabric chosen to complete Morlo is woven in Pembrokeshire, at Melin Tregwynt. The Knot Garden fabric used inside is Gorse, which grows in abundance along our beautiful coastline.

The history of Morlo in Milford Haven

The name translates as ‘sea calf' and is our Welsh word for seal. If you venture out by boat, you'll see grey seals along our shores and basking in beautiful coves along the Pembrokeshire coast.

Our shores and waters are home to the most southerly breeding population of grey seals in Europe. One of the least common seal species in European waters, it is estimated that approximately 5,000 individuals consider our coastline their home. They represent approximately 2% of the world's total population of grey seals.

Seals are just one important species we're committed to conserving. Our sea-coast with its islands is home to a wealth of native and seasonal marine wildlife and birds including puffins, dolphins, Manx shearwaters and porpoises. The tidal estuary of the Haven is one of the best places in Europe for marine life. In addition, it is considered a wetland of international importance and is a breeding habitat for a multitude of rare and endangered birds.

The diversity of marine wildlife species living here is a special part of the story of our water ways.

Being located at Milford Waterfront, guests staying in the Floatel Cabins will be surrounded by a fantastic selection of cafes, restaurants and boutique shops, as well as attractions such as Milford Haven Museum, Phoenix Bowl, Discover Coast & Cleddau Boat Trips and a calendar packed with events throughout the year. Visit the Milford Waterfront website to see what's here and what's on when you #visitmilfordhaven

Milford Haven is a charming port town in the heart of Pembrokeshire, which offers a variety of shops, events, galleries, theatres, museums, and more. Where the River Cleddau meets the sea, this naturally deep harbour has been used for many centuries underlying its importance in local history.

Milford Waterfront's quayside location is a gorgeous stretch of shops, cafes, and restaurants that sit alongside the marina with an abundance of beautiful yachts and boats to look at. Take a boat trip to see some of Pembrokeshire's hidden coves and flourishing coastal wildlife. Visit the renowned Skomer Island and see Puffins, Manx Shearwaters and variety of nesting sea birds, while the turquoise waters are frequented by Seals, Porpoises and the Cardigan Bay Dolphins.

Pembrokeshire is renowned for its breathtaking expanse of pristine coastline - voted the 2nd best in the world by National Geographic. There is a huge variety of beaches, craggy coves, hidden caves, and some truly inspirational coastal walks.  There are many blue flag beaches offering ultra-clean, (but often cold!) waters, which are popular for coasteering, surfing, and swimming, particularly in the summer months.

Along the East coast, some of the more popular beaches include Tenby, Freshwater, Saundersfoot, Barafundle Bay or Stackpole Quay, while to the West visit Marloes, Dale, Broad Haven, Newgale, Whitesands, Abereiddy or the Blue Lagoon. There are numerous small beaches and hidden coves all around Pembrokeshire if you're looking for a bit more seclusion.
