Moon Pod is a luxury wooden haven on the edge of the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast. Sitting proudly beside the aptly-named Star Court group glamping site, Moon Pod is a sliver of luxury in the Welsh glamping scene. Far from its grass roots neighbours, Moon Pod is equipped with full mod cons - from a TV to underfloor heating - and is a superior option for those who enjoy life's little luxuries while on a country break.
Owners Laura and Stan are immensely proud of this little gem, and rightly so. Not only is Moon Pod plush, with a Scandinavian retro feel, but its position - with porthole facing the lush grounds of an old country estate - makes it a desirable and restful holiday spot. Sit outside in the West Wales evening air, listening to the crackling of the open fire and the bubbles in your glass, and take in the uninterrupted views of the starscape that inspired the creation of this beautiful glamping opportunity. For a superior stay under the stars, come and experience Moon Pod for yourselves.
Moon Pod is surrounded by the stunning Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, and lies within Stackpole Estate, which is owned and maintained by the National Trust. The rugged surrounding coastline is world-famous, with nearby Barafundle Bay being voted in the top 25 best beaches in the world in 2017.
Another gem of this stunning stretch of South Pembrokeshire coast is Bosherston Lily Ponds, which are a mere 3 miles from Moon Pod and Star Court. Henry Tudor's birthplace of Pembroke is 5 miles from the glamping site, and is well worth a visit - the Norman castle ruins are some of the best in the UK, as are the walls of this 9th century town.
The comfortable sleeping space is ideal for a couple, with a sumptuous double bed below the rear porthole window. The sofa also folds out into a double bed if more sleeping space is required.
The ensuite bathroom is tucked into the back of this deceptively large pod, housing an electric shower, a flushing toilet and cold water wash basin.
This canny wooden pod makes the most of this cosy space by cleverly hiding amenities in the walls - a dining table descends from one wall panel, for example.
Inside the pod is a well-equipped kitchen, with a fridge, toaster, microwave and kettle, as well as cutlery, crockery and pans. Even the outdoor cooking equipment is superior - the fire bowl, grill rack and hot plate are hand-forged, and allow you to have your eggs and bacon in the morning.
