Escape to blissful idyll in the Pembrokeshire countryside with River Hideaway Shepherd's Hut. Sit back and enjoy the hot tub or relax with a glass of something on the verandah. River Hideaway is a beautiful and character-filled bespoke and handcrafted Shepherds Hut, located on a smallholding on the river Cleddau. The location and setting of this little haven make it an ideal getaway for two with easy access to the county town of Haverfordwest just 2 short miles away, yet situated in peaceful surroundings at the end of a quiet lane - you will feel a million miles away from the world.

The Shepherds Hut is set in the yard near the main house, overlooking a garden, pond and quiet woodland. There are 40 acres of meadows, woodland, salt marsh and riverbank to explore right on your doorstep. Enjoy river-side and woodland walks, or even adventure a little further by foot or bicycle either on or off-road. Bring your bicycles along, which can be stored safely for your stay should you want to explore Pembrokeshire on two wheels.

When you are ready to rest after all your adventuring, enjoy being spoilt by River Hideaway's wood-fired hot tub, or sit on the deck with views over a pond where regular visitors include buzzards, red kites, sparrow hawks, bullfinch, goldfinch and kingfishers to name a few. Great for a romantic break, a quiet space to read, write and nature-watch.

Pembrokeshire is renowned for its breathtaking expanse of pristine coastline - voted the second-best in the world by National Geographic. There are a huge variety of beaches, craggy coves, hidden caves, and some truly inspirational coastal walks.  There are many blue flag beaches offering ultra-clean waters which are popular for coasteering, surfing, and swimming, particularly in the summer months.

Along the East coast, some of the more popular beaches include Tenby, Freshwater, Saundersfoot, Barafundle Bay or Stackpole Quay, while to the West visit Marloes, Dale, Broad Haven, Newgale, Whitesands, Abereiddy or the Blue Lagoon. There are a huge variety of lesser-known beaches to be discovered if you're looking for a bit more seclusion.
