A great glamping spot for a yurt holiday in Pembrokeshire! A short drive from Haverfordwest with supermarkets and shops, as well as beaches, coastal villages, and St Brides Bay. But that's not the only attractive feature of this yurt - the private bathroom, kitchen and secluded plot make this a particularly comfortable glamping holiday.
The yurt is traditionally furnished in a rustic style, but comes will lovely outdoor space, including a fire-pit, flowers, and beautiful wood sleepers to sit on. Here, there is little in the way of light pollution, so watch stars shine brightly in the pristine night sky while you toast marshmallows around your camp fire.
Nestled in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, the site makes a wonderful base for a tranquil, beachside escape. Monty's Yurt is only a short drive from the beaches of Little Haven and Broad Haven, while there are a number of others in easy reach including Marloes and New Gale within 15 minutes drive. The famous Skomer Island isn't far away - a boat trip is a must if you want to see nesting Puffins and Manx Shearwaters in season. What's more, there's also a farm bakery not far from the site for freshly baked snacks!

This spacious 5 meter diameter yurt comfortably holds a double divan bed, 3 single futons (all bedding is included), storage chest and coffee table. There are just enough lanterns and accessories to make it welcoming without being cluttered - leaving plenty of space and surfaces for your own belongings.
A few meters away in Shepherd's hut cabin with gas hob, microwave, kettle, fridge (small icebox) and the basics - saucepans, utensils, crockery, cutlery. There's also a small table and benches. Electric and gas is inclusive.
Again, a few meters away in a Shepherd's hut cabin, with hot shower, flushing loo and washbasin. Simple, clean, and tidy! Please bring your own towels and toiletries.
The yurt sits on a generous decking, within a spacious, sheltered plot bordered by hedges and trees. The gravelled area has chunky wooden seats around a heavy wrought iron brazier for evening camp fires and chats. On a clear night, the stars absolutely sparkle! If you want a closer look, see if your visit coincides with a 'Preseli Astronomy Group' meeting.
Wood is provided for your stay on a 'fair use' basis, extra can be bought on-site at a cost. Private parking is just behind the yurt so not far to carry luggage and shopping.
Situated down rural lanes between Little Haven and Marloes, 'Monty's Yurt' sits in its own high-hedged plot behind the farmhouse, on a small private campsite. With easy car access to most of Pembrokeshire's popular coastal sites, and indeed the majority of the County. If you time your visit right there may be some veg available from Monty's hothouse, or if his friend has been fishing - some local shellfish could be bought to cook back at the yurt.
The stunning award-winning Pembrokeshire Coastal path and footpaths across the Preseli Hills (home of the Stonehenge Bluestones and Pentre Ifan) are amongst the finest in Wales. Beaches here win awards with reassuring regularity!
Having done some traveling and seen a bit of life, Monty is quite a character! Always happy to advise on local facilities, beaches, and places that you might otherwise miss - such as the quirky Druidstone Hotel - a stunning spot to enjoy drinks or supper whilst watching the sun dip into the Atlantic at the end of the day.
All in all we believe this offers a fab yurt holiday for glamping in Pembrokeshire - it's a beautiful coastal county - no wonder it's being tipped as an undiscovered Cornwall.
