In amongst the Scots pine trees, you'll find your unique 5 sided cedar wood cabin with a comfortable double bed, wood burner, breakfast bar and Wifi.
Next to the cabin, your private facilities include a shower room with mains flushing WC, washbasin and hot water shower cubicle, as well as a magnificent outdoor bath.
An open-sided kitchen has everything you could need to cook up a meal to eat inside your cosy cabin by the log burner, or at the outdoor table. The kitchen is complete with a gas burner, tabletop oven, fridge, crockery and cooking utensils. The kitchen sink has a plentiful supply of hot and cold running water. The owner provides a lovely little welcome pack, which makes you feel right at home from the moment you arrive.
You'll have two outdoor areas to use exclusively, so why not sit by your fire pit and cook your meals outdoors surrounded by birdsong and flowers. Your cabin at night is a warm place to nestle down, light the wood burner, pull up a chair and read a book. During the day, you can take yourself off on a meandering journey on foot; and with Wales being the UK's adventure capital, if you're in a more thrill-seeking mood, you can indulge in activities from mountain hikes to canoeing in the local area.
10 minutes to Builth Wells, 15 minutes to Llandrindod Wells, you'll have plenty of choices to shop for your supplies or go out for a meal. Ideal for switching off your phones and revelling in the simple pleasures of life, Venus room provides a chance to experience simple living in natural surroundings.
Why is it called The Venus Room?
This five-sided building is named after the planet Venus and her dance with Earth and the Orbit of the Sun. Over the period of 8 years (or 13 Venusian years!), she makes the incredible pattern of a Five petalled flower in space.

Cabin interior/living area. The planet Venus makes the shape of a 5 pointed star on its transit around the earth and this great little cabin reflects this in the interior. the gold walls, Double bed, log burner, breakfast bar, electric kettle, wooden floors, artwork, armchair, books, hairdryer. Firelighters are provided along with a supply of wood. Bath towels and hand towels provided.
External Bathroom with gas shower, flushing WC, washbasin, toiletries and toilet paper provided Kitchen with, gas ring, fridge, electric toaster, kettle, tabletop oven, electric lighting, crockery, cooking utensils. There is also an outdoor bath next to the bathroom.
Grounds are open, unfenced and are quite private from the owner's property which is close by, however, you're not overlooked. You are free to explore the grounds and have 2 designated seating areas that are exclusively for your use only. One of which has a fire pit and ethnic chairs with sheepskin rugs, where you can cook over your open fire.
Parking is off-road in the driveway, which is shared with the owners.
The Venus Room at the Manse is located in a beautiful valley of ancient rolling hills, just miles from waterfalls, moorland and woodland walks.
Castles & historic houses; wildlife and nature reserves; theatres and arts centres; adventure activities; walking; cycling; sport & leisure. Maybe you want to simply relax and explore market towns & villages, National Parks, stunning Mid Wales coastline and the Mid Wales lakes and mountains.
The air is so pure and clear in these parts that the star gazing will amaze and delight you. A 5-minute drive from the cabin to a hilltop will give you views of Pen Y Fan in the Brecon beacons and Hay Bluff in the Black mountains.

The Thomas Shop in Penybont - Deeply embedded in the history and culture of Radnorshire, the Thomas Shop is a unique blend of the old and the new. The museum shop will excite nostalgia for those who remember a time when shopping was a cultural experience, and an opportunity to learn and connect with the past for the younger generation. The Tea Shop is excellent, the light lunches and cream teas are all homemade and delicious, the new outdoor seating area is great and outdoor seating is provided in the pretty garden under shelters on the banks of the river. The richness and diversity of local skills, arts and craft are celebrated in the Laundry and Pressing Room galleries.

Half an hour drive from the magnificent Elan Valley, half an hour from Hay-on-Wye and 20 minutes from the English border.
Mid Wales is an absolute treat for anyone who enjoys walking. In every direction there are walks both long and short, some that stretch out onto vast expanses of open hill, others that wind through forests or beside rivers and streams.
