Situated in a beautiful part of Mid Wales - often referred to as a little bit of paradise with the bonus of being next to Woodland Trust woodlands, where you can walk your dog off-lead. Great too for the romantic break you've been promising yourself! And, although not officially designated, here you'll have undeniably wonderful Dark Skies.

One of the unique qualities of Raven's Retreat is that, unlike some other shepherd's huts, you have your own bathroom attached via the veranda - so no getting wet. The Hut is well insulated and has a log burning stove to keep you warm even in winter. Logs and kindling are provided and the fire will be lit for you if you wish to arrive toasty warm. There is a pull out double bed and space for a single mattress.

There's an enclosed garden to keep the dog safe and a large play area (not presently fenced) which could also be used for a tent. If you are interested or want more details please do feel free to contact us and we look forward to welcoming you to the "glamping" experience at Raven's Retreat.

! Please note, Raven's Retreat can only welcome a babe in arms no toddlers or children.

This quirky cabin is perfectly placed on the outskirts of the small hamlet of Llawryglyn near ancient woodlands and streams. The nearest shop is 6 miles away and the nearest pub which serves food is 2 miles away.

Llawryglyn is a quiet rural community positioned at the head of the beautiful wooded valley of the River Trannon, between the villages of Trefeglwys and Staylittle, and close to the market town of Llanidloes, where a host of individual shops, bars and restaurants cater for your every need.

Fishing is available locally at Clywedog Dam, hire a boat or canoe or fish the banks with a permit on the River Severn. Many people travel to Clywedog to view the rare Ospreys that nest there.

The area as a whole is great for walkers and cyclists, with plenty of visitor attractions nearby including the Textile Museum in Newtown, Gregynog Hall, Clywedog Dam, Powis Castle and the Montgomeryshire Canal

The central position of the property makes it very quick and easy to get into north Wales and visit the West Wales & the Cambrian coastline including Aberystwyth, Barmouth and Aberdovey, and in the opposite direction the Shropshire borders towns, such as Shrewsbury, Craven Arms, Clun, Bishops Castle and Ludlow. The beaches at Ynyslas beach & Aberystwyth are with an hours drive.

Don't miss a trip to the Hafren Forest near Llanidloes and walk to the source of the rivers Severn & Wye, take a picnic, there are plenty of picnic tables along the river banks.

Within an hour you also have the magnificent Devils Bridge Hafod Estate, which are truly mesmerising. This truly is a unique and relatively undiscovered part of Wales which will delight and surprise.
